Nader signs up with board of directors for Arlington Asset Investment
Arlington Asset Investment revealed that its Board of Directors has hired Anthony P. Nader to serve as a new private director of the Firm, as his contract shall start March 1, 2015. Mr. Nader will run for election at the Organization's subsequent annual meeting. Nader's selection takes the number of the Company's directors up to 8.
Mr. Nader, who is 51 years old, is a Managing Director of SWaN & Legend Venture Partners, a principal asset management business which Nader co-created in 2006, with assets in maturation driven businesses as well as global and local property holdings. Nader likewise serves as Vice Chairman of Asurion, an independently owned business with more than 16,000 staff that supplies technology security to around 300 mil clientele globally. In 2008, he successfully merged his former business, National Electronics Warranty ("NEW") with Asurion. He joined NEW in 1990 as Chief Operating Officer, was termed President in 1999 and CEO in 2006, a job he held up until 2013. With his leadership, NEW evolved into the largest global vendor of extended support policies for the consumer electronics and appliance industry. He presently serves on the executive committee of the Inova Health System Board of Trustees. Nader is the former chair of the Inova Health System Foundation Board. He even serves on the board of Vincent Mai's Cranemere , Optoro, Inc., La Lumiere, BigTeams and is an involved mentor for KIND Healthy Snacks.
